About the Comedy / Bar:
Comedy / Bar is a unique stand-up comedy venue located in the Capitol Hill neighborhood of Seattle. We provide a platform for local comedians to showcase their talent and entertain audiences six nights a week. Our offerings include open mics, trivia, bingo, spelling bees, and local stand-up comedy shows, providing a diverse range of entertainment options for our guests. Our cozy and intimate setting provides the perfect backdrop for a night of live comedy and great drinks.
About the Role:
We are seeking an experienced Line Bartender to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for preparing and serving drinks to customers, handling cash and credit card transactions, and maintaining your section of the bar area clean and organized. You will work closely with other bartenders and the Lead Bartender to ensure that customers get their drinks and we get paid.
Responsibilities:
- Work preparing and serving drinks to customers
- Handle cash and credit card transactions, ensuring accuracy and following proper cash handling procedures
- Maintain your section of the bar area clean and organized, ensuring that all equipment and tools are in good condition
- Collaborate with other bartenders and the Lead Bartender to ensure that the bar is operating efficiently and profitably
- Adhere to all local liquor laws and regulations, ensuring that the bar is in compliance at all times
Requirements:
- Minimum of 2 years of experience as a bartender in a high-volume bar or restaurant setting
- Strong knowledge of classic cocktails, beer, and wine, with the ability to create new and unique drink recipes
- Excellent customer service skills, with the ability to build relationships with customers and anticipate their needs
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with other staff members and the management team
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously
- Must be able to work nights and weekends
