Comedy / Bar is a unique stand-up comedy venue located in the Capitol Hill neighborhood of Seattle. We provide a platform for local comedians to showcase their talent and entertain audiences six nights a week. Our offerings include open mics, trivia, bingo, spelling bees, and local stand-up comedy shows, providing a diverse range of entertainment options for our guests. Our cozy and intimate setting provides the perfect backdrop for a night of live comedy and great drinks.

About the Role:

We are seeking a talented and experienced Lead Bartender to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for managing the bar, training and supervising other bartenders, creating new drink recipes, managing inventory, and ensuring that customers have a great experience at Comedy Bar. You will also work closely with the Comedy Bar management team to ensure that our bar is operating efficiently and profitably.

Responsibilities:
  • Train and supervise other bartenders to ensure they are making great drinks
  • Create new drink recipes and specials that align with the Comedy Bar brand and atmosphere
  • Maintain a clean and organized bar area, ensuring that all equipment and tools are in good condition
  • Adhere to all local liquor laws and regulations, ensuring that the bar is in compliance at all times
  • Work with the Comedy Bar management team to develop and implement strategies to increase bar revenue and profitability
Requirements:
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience as a bartender in a high-volume bar or restaurant setting
  • Proven leadership experience, with the ability to train and manage other bartenders effectively
  • Strong knowledge of classic cocktails, beer, and wine, with the ability to create new and unique drink recipes
  • Excellent customer service skills, with the ability to build relationships with customers and anticipate their needs
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with other staff members and the management team
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously
  • Must be able to work nights and weekends
