About the Comedy / Bar:
Comedy / Bar is a unique stand-up comedy venue located in the Capitol Hill neighborhood of Seattle. We provide a platform for local comedians to showcase their talent and entertain audiences six nights a week. Our offerings include open mics, trivia, bingo, spelling bees, and local stand-up comedy shows, providing a diverse range of entertainment options for our guests. Our cozy and intimate setting provides the perfect backdrop for a night of live comedy and great drinks.
About the Role:
We are seeking a reliable and professional Security Guard to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for checking IDs and ensuring that all guests are of legal drinking age. You will work closely with the management team to maintain a safe and welcoming environment for all guests at Comedy Bar.
Responsibilities:
- Check IDs to ensure that all guests are of legal drinking age
- Monitor the entry and exit points of the bar to ensure that only authorized personnel are entering and leaving the premises
- Respond to any incidents or disturbances that may occur, following proper procedures and protocols
- Work collaboratively with other staff members and the management team to ensure that the bar is operating efficiently and safely
- Maintain a professional and courteous demeanor at all times, interacting with guests and providing excellent customer service
- Adhere to all local liquor laws and regulations, ensuring that the bar is in compliance at all times
Requirements:
- Minimum of 6 months of experience as a Security Guard or similar role
- Strong knowledge of security procedures and protocols
- Ability to remain calm and professional in stressful situations
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with other staff members and the management team
- Must be able to work nights and weekends
